Ambush Veteran Adventure - Based in Slindon, West Sussex they offer training & woodland management, combining tri-service elements of physical challenges to improve physical and mental wellbeing when bringing together veterans and serving personnel.
Bournemouth Above And Beyond Trust – To assist serving and former members of the armed forces by the provision of support services, advice, guidance, tuition, and healthcare where appropriate. With the prevention and relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the relief of sickness and preservation of health, the relief of those in need because of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, unemployment, or other disadvantages.
Borough Of Bury Veterans – Meetings at the Fishpool Liberal Club to provide assistance to veterans and their dependants by providing a social and support network unifying all three Services in the Borough.
Building Heroes – With more than 120,000 unemployed military veterans in Britain and a growing shortfall of skills in the construction industry, Building Heroes provides training to military veterans and support into employment in the building trades. In their own words, they: “tackle unemployment amongst those who have kept us safe by offering them a seamless transition to a new career in construction”.
Families4Veterans – A UK online national directory exploring everything veterans related under one roof. F4V have done the research so you don’t have to. From their website you can browse all the categories and sub categories to see at a glance what you are looking for. Whether that be emotional help, a charity, looking for a regimental group, whatever you need, you will find it at F4V.
Forces Online – Run purely by volunteers, Forces Online has a number of charitable aims and initiatives. These include raising money to support Holly Court Veterans Centre.
Forgotten Veterans UK – An initiative that supports all service veterans in need, Forgotten Veterans UK (FVUK) lends a hand to servicemen and women from all walks of life. This might include: financial assistance, more general advice and support, befriending and acting as a gateway to organisations offering more specialist assistance.
Healthier Heroes – With their combined life experience and their person led approach, they are striving to help veterans and their families overcome barriers that restrict aspects of their lives. They also support veterans who have left or are still in the criminal justice system. Using a peer mentoring programme, they help them to rebuild their lives and find jobs.
Littlehampton AFVBC – Located at the rear of Cafe 72 in Littlehampton High Street, this independent Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club has gone from strength to strength, whilst working with other local veteran organisations for the benefit of its members and the wider community.
Newport Veterans Hub – A social and support group that aims to bring veterans out of isolation and give them a place to socialise and make new friends. As well as offering support and activities, they link up with other local and national organisations to ensure members can access the services they need.
Outside The Wire – A free bespoke drug and alcohol service offering confidential advice and support to current and ex HM Forces personnel and their families, across across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
Phoenix Heroes – Specialises in helping veterans with PTSD. Based on the concept of veterans supporting veterans, Colchester-based Phoenix Heroes works with local organisations as a support platform to find places for veterans and their families in outdoor group activity programmes where they do things such as Carp fishing and working with horses, and learn skills for employment.
Swansea Veterans Hub – A social and support group that aims to bring veterans out of isolation and give them a place to socialise and make new friends. As well as offering support and activities, they link up with other local and national organisations to ensure members can access the services they need.
The Buchanan Trust – Located just outside the village of Bosbury in Herefordshire, the trust helps armed forces veterans transition into civilian life by offering short term accommodation, accredited training, skills, work experience and employment opportunities in the rural and construction sectors. The trust also has the potential to support veterans in chainsaw use, tractor driving, agricultural sprayer, excavator and fork-lift training as well as adventure training and various forestry skills etc.
The Pompey Pals – The Pompey Pals Charity Remembers the Men and Women from Portsmouth and the Surrounding Area who have served the country from the early 20th Century through to the current day. The Charity also helps raise awareness of our Service Veterans today through a combination of Educational and Commemorative Events. Helping The Veteran Remember and the Young To Learn.
The VC Gallery – At the VC Gallery, art is used as a creative medium for reducing social exclusion and increasing confidence amongst a wide range of people in the local community of Haverfordwest. Their work is not only limited to veterans, they are open to people with mental or physical disabilities, to both the young and elderly, and to anyone who feels alone, disadvantaged or isolated.
The Veterans Forge – Located at the foot of the Purbeck Hills near Corfe Castle in Dorset. The Veterans Forge has been set up to allow veterans the opportunity to have a break and enjoy a relaxed rural location whilst also being given the help and support they need. Supporting individuals on Blacksmithing projects that aid their skills, encourage a positive mental attitude and maintain their psychological well-being.
Trafford Veterans – A thriving ex-forces & emergency services veterans breakfast club in Trafford that's grown into a social activities hub. Helping veterans to be heard whilst making a difference in the community.
UK Homes 4 Heroes – With a permament facility at Elkins Day Centre, Rotherhithe, London and mobile Outreach Teams covering West Midlands, Brighton, Bournemouth etc., UKH4H help ex-service personnel with food, clothing, housing issues/advice. In addition they provide a counselling service for matters relating to PTSD etc.
UK Veterans Hearing Fdn – Based in Hinckley, Leicestershire and dedicated to making the very best hearing-related equipment and providing care to veterans of all services who suffer with hearing loss, tinnitus etc and also work with other partners to provide mental health related support.
Veterans Outreach Support – Based in Hampshire, VOS provides a monthly Drop-In facility for ex-service personnel from all services and operational backgrounds, including the Merchant Navy, and their direct family members. Founded in July 2008 VOS began as a peer support group where Service veterans could access a range of support services in an informal environment. VOS receives over 500 visits a year.
Veterans Hike – Based in Wigan, Veterans Hike CIC provide help and support to armed forces veterans who suffer with their mental health / PTSD. They hike the trail and organise events such as weekend camping to help improve physical and mental wellbeing with togetherness.
Veterans Woodcraft – Based in North Yorkshire at the Catterick Garrison, Veterans Woodcraft is a not for profit company set up by veterans to help other veterans rebuild their lives after traumatic experiences through military service, by working predominantly with wood.
Walnut Tree Health and Wellbeing – Provides recovery activities, crisis support, coaching and mentoring to emergency service personnel and members of the armed forces with complex mental health needs such as addiction, Walnut Tree Health and Wellbeing – who uses the mantra #BeSmartGetHelp – believes in mindfulness as a crucial tool for our veterans and runs courses for the families of those suffering with mental health issues.
