Trafford Veterans was formed in 2015 by two veterans from HM Armed Forces and Emergency Services. They attended local community events to raise awareness and also visited groups to give short presentations on who they were and how they could help individuals within Trafford.
Their first event took place in December 2016 when they held their very first Veterans Breakfast at The John Alker in Flixton. The event was a huge success and people travelled from afar to show their support for the new venture. From then on the Veterans Breakfast became a regular event.
Trafford Veterans community group was been set up to help make transition back into civilian life easier, by providing social venues for like-minded individuals to engage, interact and share experiences. As time has gone by they have gone from strength to strength. They have formed new activity groups and encouraged people to share their hobbies and skills.
