Veterans Woodcraft is a Yorkshire based company that helps veterans with PTSD to “rebuild their lives whilst working with wood”.
The company was set up by a veteran suffering from PTSD and is run by veterans to help other veterans suffering with PTSD to get themselves back on their feet.
Rebuilding lives with wood is therefore exactly what they all do.
Traumatic experiences carried out by military service has left many service leavers potentially unstable. Veterans Woodcraft use 'working with wood' as a therapy to help cope with mental trauma. Many of the products that are created are then sold to help provide the charitable organisation with better financial security and to allow them to expand their facilities to other area of the country too.
Products that they manufacture are available to purchase via their website which you will find at: https://veteranswoodcraft.co.uk
You can shop for a wide range of products including bespoke coffee tables, chairs, unique handmade pens, paintings, pyrography, scroll saw & CNC work and wedding-inspired products.
They also undertake commissioned general woodwork. There really is something for everyone.
Other veteran charities and the community offer support and they in return support them.
You can donate directly to Veterans Woodcraft or for just £10 pcm you can support them via the Veterans Raffle
