Swansea Veterans Hub (SVH), a not-for-profit organisation with everything they do being on an unpaid voluntary basis. The hub operates in partnership with several local organisations to provide mental health and wellbeing support and signposting for veterans and their families too. Swansea Veterans Hub is also a registered safe, warm space with Swansea council and remains as such throughout the year.

Swansea Veterans Hub

SVH is a social and support group which aims to bring veterans out of isolation and make new friends. As well as offering support and activities, they link up with other local and national organisations to ensure their members can access the services they need.

SVH fully embrace and are signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant to help ensure that those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families are all treated fairly. They are one of the few places in Swansea to offer face-to-face interactions for both veterans and their families. Swansea Veterans Hub

SVH offer support and advice for financial difficulties (including PIP and DWP issues), employment, housing, health, and wellbeing issues. Their volunteers are all fully trained in mental health, first aid and safeguarding. They have full governance ,are registered on Companies House (Reg number 13582305) and are members of the Association of Service Drop-in Centres (ASDIC).

SVH helps raise awareness amongst other organisations and the public, to highlight the problems affecting veterans and their families with mental health issues and how they can all help. Demand for their services has grown significantly and they continue to extend their range of support networks for veterans and their families to help them with any difficulties including food poverty, cost of living crisis and any other issues that veterans and their families may encounter from the transition from military to civilian life and beyond. Swansea Veterans Hub

SVH is incredibly fortunate to have 24/7 access to Jack’s Retreat, where veterans and their families, or those who are serving/reservists, can access wild camping, woodland walks, bush crafting, stargazing, and other family orientated activities.

Swansea Veterans Hub are located in the Garrison Church Hall, Christchurch, Oystermouth Road, Swansea SA1 3UH. They are open every Tuesday from 10 am to 1pm and every Saturday from 10 am to 12 midday, where all veterans and their families can come together in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment.

SVH rely heavily on fundraisers and donations, with every penny being raised going towards veterans and their families, to ensure they receive the support they need and deserve.
