Healthier Heroes have already won numerous awards for services within the community by successfully running leadership development programmes and Military Resilience Programmes in schools, colleges, and businesses across the North West. They have helped a multitude of veterans and their families, within the Armed Forces community, since they were established in 2018.
Their Mission
The programme - UNITE as one, INSPIRE one another, BELIEVE anything is possible aims to rehome, rehabilitate, and reconnect veterans and their families regardless of whether they recently left the army or left a long time ago.
They also support veterans who have left or are still in the criminal justice system. Using a peer mentoring programme, they help them to rebuild their lives and find jobs.
With their combined life experience and their person led approach to the programme, they are striving to help veterans and their families overcome barriers that restrict aspects of their lives.
Healthier Heroes meet you, get to know you and discuss where you need their assistance. Eg. Housing, Rehabilitation, Education/training/Employment, Mental Health, Social inclusion, Counselling etc.
A not-for-profit is only as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, you can do more than you can alone. So Healthier Heroes bring those shared abilities and passions together to affect real change.
There are many ways to join Healthier Heroes and support their mission. Contact them to find out more about volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and ways that you can help get their message shared with friends and family.
